Megastructures

Five buildings, one per borough, each owned by a single player. They are the most expensive address in the city, and the money that goes into them leaves the game.

• Where. The Megastructures tab in Territory: the buildings on the map, their owners, values and auctions.
• One per player, from level 40. A building does not replace your home: the two stack.
• The auction. A building with no owner goes to auction, at most one opening every 24 h, and each auction runs 24 h. The first bid is at least $25,000,000; every bid after it beats the leading one by 5%. While one is open, a strip under the top bar on every screen shows the building, who leads and with how much; a tap opens it.
• Bids come from the bank. Only your bank pays a bid, and it stays held while you lead. Outbid, it comes back to your bank at once. You can lead one auction at a time.
• Late bids. A bid in the last 5 minutes adds 5 minutes to the clock.
• The win is burned. The winning bid goes to nobody. The building is yours, protected for 24 h, and its value starts at what you paid.
• Anyone can buy it. Once the protection ends, any eligible player takes the building by paying its declared value, from the bank first and then the pocket, straight into the owner's bank. Accounts that share a device cannot trade one.
• The owner sets the value. Raise it any time, lower it once a day (São Paulo time), never below $25,000,000. A high value keeps buyers away and raises the tax.
• The tax. Once a day, counted from the purchase, the owner pays 2% of the highest value declared since the last charge, from the bank first and then the pocket, and it leaves the game. An owner who cannot pay loses the building back to the auction queue, with nothing back. Letting it go is the same.
• What it gives. Its stats, counted like gear everywhere: crimes, fights, wars and max HP. Detective Barone opens and settles 10 points lower, and Chief Bastos's bribes can go 10 points lower. Your avatar on its pin, the title on your profile, and the whole city hears when it changes hands.
